ABOUT ABU DHABI CRICKET

Abu Dhabi Cricket (ADC) is the largest world-class, multi-sports facility in the United Arab Emirates catering to everyone from elite and professional sports stars to those looking to participate in recreational sports and activities.

ADC is supported by Abu Dhabi Sports Council and operates under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Bin Mubarak Al Nahayan.

International cricket

Located in the heart of Khalifa City A, ADC is the venue of choice for hosting all of Abu Dhabi’s international cricket matches – having seen everything from the likes of matches between India, Pakistan, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and the West Indies to also hosting the 2014 Indian Premier League (IPL) and the 2018 Asia Cup.

Our current international flagship event is the bold new Aldar Properties Abu Dhabi T10 – bringing together over 120 of the biggest names in world cricket to compete in the shortest format of the game. The 2019 edition saw over 125,000walk through the gates of ADC across the 10-day event.

Though cricket is at the core of operations, ADC also prides itself on the world class facilities available to sportsmen and women of all ages and abilities.

The facility continues to be used by several international associations as a winter training destination, most notably the England and Wales Cricket Board’s (ECB) England Lions for their tours of the UAE, together with many professional English County teams who return year after year for their pre-season camps.

International sport

In addition to international cricket, ADC has also welcomed and hosted the likes of the New Zealand’s All Black 7s and Black Fern 7s rugby teams ahead of the Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby 7s (of which both teams emerged champions) and Japan, Oman, Syria, China, Yemen, Iran, Thailand, India and South Korea’s football training camps ahead of the 2019 AFC Asian Cup, together with a host of other international football and cricket teams.

Community sport

ADC has also ushered in an exciting new era of community sport in Abu Dhabi having significantly invested in major upgrades to create the emirate’s largest and busiest community sports facility.

In addition to the iconic 22,000 capacity iconic Zayed Cricket Stadium, the venue also boasts: 2 x floodlit nursery cricket ovals (one of which is an ICC approved international venue), an international-standard 15 x net cricket facility, 4 x floodlit netball courts, 8x 5-a-side football pitches, 4 x multi-purpose floodlit astro-turf pitches and 5 x FIFA approved grass floodlit football pitches and a fully-equipped gymnasium.

Dining at ADC

The newest and arguably most exciting addition to Abu Dhabi Cricket is The Boundary. Breaking into Abu Dhabi’s thriving food and beverage scene, ADC’s latest venture includes a bright and fresh family friendly contemporary café and casual dining eatery together with a fully licensed sports bar right next door for all those 21 years of age and above.
